This notice covers candidate processes conducted by email, CVs delivered in person, interviews and other application channels accepted by TESKA. If a CV form is made available on the website, this notice will be accessible before data is collected. No data is collected through such a form while it is unavailable.
2. Information and purposes
Name, contact details needed to reach you, education, professional experience, competencies, the position applied for, and interview/assessment notes are processed to assess suitability for a position, contact you and conduct recruitment. A photograph, marital status, family information, Turkish identity number, medical report or criminal record is not a required part of a general application.
Information directly necessary to enter into an employment contract relies on KVKK Article 5(2)(c). Process planning and assessment records rely on Article 5(2)(f), subject to fundamental rights. Records needed to protect a specific right relating to an application rely on Article 5(2)(e). If special-category data becomes legally necessary later, a separate notice and applicable Article 6 condition will be identified.
3. CVs, references and other people
Do not include unnecessary health, religious, political, trade-union, criminal-conviction or similar special-category information. Volunteering it does not permit unlimited processing; irrelevant information must be separated. Before naming a referee, ensure you are authorised to share their contact details for this purpose. If TESKA contacts a referee, it will fulfil its own transparency obligations. Your current employer will not be contacted about your application automatically. Indefinite retention in a candidate pool for other roles is not a natural consequence of applying; a separate purpose, period and suitable legal basis must first be established.
4. Recipients, methods and retention
Human resources staff and people assessing the relevant position access information on a need-to-know basis. Email/hosting providers may receive information in providing infrastructure, and competent authorities where legally necessary. Applications are not sent to advertising platforms or used to build advertising audiences. Email and electronic applications are processed partly or wholly automatically; paper applications incorporated into a filing system are processed non-automatically. After assessment, the purpose and legal need for retaining the CV and assessment records are reviewed. Files are not retained indefinitely when no longer needed. Limited records required for a specific dispute may be protected separately; this does not authorise other uses of the entire CV.
5. Your rights
Under Article 11 of the KVKK, you may learn whether your personal data is processed; request information if it has been processed; learn the purpose and whether it is used in accordance with that purpose; and learn the recipients in Türkiye or abroad. You may request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data, deletion or destruction where the legal conditions are met, and notification of these actions to third parties to whom the data was transferred. You may object to a result against you arising from analysis exclusively by automated systems and seek compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.
Request channels and time limits are explained on the Data Subject Request page. Withdrawal of consent does not retroactively invalidate processing lawfully carried out on the basis of that consent before withdrawal.
