What is PVD Plating?

Discover PVD coating technology for faucet finishes.

What is PVD Plating?

PVD stands for Physical Vapour Deposition. It is a coating process carried out in a vacuum, in which a material is vaporised and deposited as a thin layer on a surface. Evaporation and sputtering are among the methods used.

For decorative faucet finishes, PVD combines surface performance with a refined appearance. The thin coating follows the shape of the component, helping to retain the detail of the design.

The benefits of PVD coating

  • A durable surface finish
  • A thin coating that preserves the component’s design details
  • Colour options for coordinated bathroom interiors
  • Strong adhesion to a correctly prepared surface
  • Surface performance suited to the coating and underlying material

Available finishes are listed on each product page. Use the recommended cleaning and care method to protect the surface over time.
